APRIL
2012 Got back
in the groove in April after the incredible month of the Monks' visit to the market! Vendors arrive even as some leave for vacations up north (like our snowbirds).
More books being donated as our Lending Library grows and sales continue strong with both donated items and signature (KTP
logo) items. Donated
yoga clothing is selling well, perhaps because it is all MADE IN USA! Come see the tees, dresses, tops and pants in time for
summer!. One line of tees is made from recycled polyester! IMP is located at mm 101 B/S and is open Fri - Sun, 9 AM - 5 PM. Volunteers and backups are needed
for 2, 3 or 4 hour shifts. One volunteer likens her time at the market to "therapy."

Ten Tips for PEACE
1: BE HERE NOW: Keep
your attention in the present moment. Being upset about the past and worrying about the future are self-defeating.
2. FORGIVE: We do not forgive because we "should"
or because someone deserves it. We forgive to free ourselves from the bondage of resentment. Die to the past every moment.
Live this moment fully.
3. OBSERVE:
Notice your thoughts. Which ones make you upset? Which ones make you feel better? Remember, you can choose your thoughts.
4. FOCUS: Focus on thoughts that help you feel better.
You can be master of your own mind.
5.
QUESTION: Often, thoughts that upset you are not true. They are beliefs you have carried with you from the past. Question
thoughts and beliefs. Can you see things differently?
6. MEDITATE: Practice quieting your mind. Make a connection to your Higher Self (Higher Power, God, Universal Energy).
7. REMEMBER: Remember your True Self. You are not
your thoughts. Remember the awareness behind the inner thinker.
8. LISTEN: Listen to your inner Voice. It is the voice that guides you, comforts you, and gives you
strength.
9. SURRENDER: Accept what
is. Release all resistance to what is. What we resist will persist. Breathe. When we accept life the way it is, we find peace.
10. EXPECT: Expect positive results. ~Mimi Greek

Tour of the Sacred Art of the Land of the Snow Lion
The mission of this tour is to
share and preserve the pure Tibetan culture which overflows with spiritually artistic expression. We bring teachings
of ancient ways and beliefs that do, even now, create the possibility of global peace, compassion and wisdom. We
want to share beautiful, sacred Tibetan traditions as demonstrated through art, and living dance and prayer. We
want all people of all ages, faiths and cultures to experience now, a future that is without violence; a future of worldwide
compassion, a future full of the wisdom of open hearts to search for peaceful resolutions to conflict and a future that places
the highest appreciation on the value of our ever-connected differences.

COMMUNITY PEACE PARKS AND PEACE BELLS

Keys to Peace developed a vision a few years ago of our Keys communities united together - an island chain connected
by parks and sacred spaces where people can visit, reflect and unwind. Through many cooperative partners and volunteers, this
vision has become a reality. Together as a community we aspire to create 40+ Community Peace Parks throughout the Keys – unique places of reflection for locals and visitors
and each with its own peace bell and reflection area. We are now offering these Peace Bells to the public through a
variety of means for use in their own personal spaces.
Please refer to our Community Peace Bell link to find the locations of each peace park dedicated to date.
If you are interested in a specific design or have any questions please contact info@keystopeace.com for information on the Peace Bells available for sale. All proceeds go to Keys to Peace a registered 501C3 totally funded
and operated by donations and volunteers.
